1. What this policy covers
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to every story, name, instruction, lyric, music request, generated lyric, song, gift link and report submitted to or created through SongGift. It forms part of our Terms of Service. SongGift is for personalised songs—not voice cloning, realistic impersonation or the distribution of harmful content.
2. Prohibited content — six categories
You must not ask SongGift to generate, upload, share or distribute:
- Sexual or NSFW content: pornography, explicit sexual content, sexual nudity or erotic content.
- Violence or gore: graphic violence, torture, gore, dismemberment or content that glorifies serious harm.
- Hate speech or targeted harassment: content attacking, degrading or inciting harm against people based on protected characteristics, or seriously harassing a person.
- Child-unsafe content: any child sexual-abuse material (CSAM), sexualised content involving a minor, or exploitation of a child. This is zero-tolerance.
- Deepfakes and impersonation: non-consensual voice cloning, imitation of a real person’s voice, or content that falsely claims a real person or artist made, performed or endorsed a song.
- Copyright or trade-mark infringement: copied lyrics or music, an unauthorised use of protected brand material, or a request to reproduce a named work or artist’s distinctive sound. A broad genre or mood is fine; “sound exactly like” or “copy this song” is not.
3. Other serious misuse
We also prohibit terrorist or extremist propaganda, instructions for serious violence or weapons, unlawful fraud, doxxing, malware, attempts to bypass safeguards, deceptive claims that AI output was made by a human, and bulk collection of output to train or benchmark a competing model. If we identify CSAM, credible imminent harm or another matter requiring a report, we may preserve the minimum necessary evidence and notify the appropriate authorities where required or permitted by law.
4. The AI models we actually use
SongGift is an independent product and is not endorsed by any model provider. The current production configuration uses a SongGift local lyric-template system for draft lyrics; it does not call OpenAI GPT, Google Gemini, Flux, Seedream or Kling for this service. Music is generated through Kie.ai’s ai-music-api/generate API, configured to use Suno V6.
If we change a production model or enable a third-party lyric model, we will update this page, the creation screen and the Privacy Notice before using it for paid production. The displayed version on the order record identifies the applicable policy version.
5. How content is reviewed
SongGift uses layered checks. Before lyrics are generated or a song can be sent for music generation, the server applies a rule-based screen to the story fields and lyrics for the prohibited categories above. A matching request is blocked before it is sent to a music provider. Generated lyrics are screened again before they are saved or used for checkout.
This is a first-line safeguard, not an infallible semantic classifier. Kie.ai and Suno may apply their own provider safeguards. We also place every report in a private operations review queue, where a SongGift reviewer can record the outcome. We do not claim to automatically detect every audio, context or rights issue.
6. Reporting content or behaviour
Use the Content Safety Report form to report a SongGift order, gift link, impersonation, intellectual-property issue or other policy concern. You may provide an email for follow-up, but do not include card details, passwords, sign-in codes, government ID numbers or unnecessary sensitive information. If you own the order, you can also use “Need a hand with this song?” on the private order page.
Reports are private, assessed objectively and prioritised according to the risk described. This reporting channel is not an emergency service. Contact local emergency services if somebody is in immediate danger.
7. Enforcement and appeals
Depending on the issue, we may reject or block a request, stop a pending generation, remove or disable a gift link, restrict access, delete content, suspend or terminate an account/session, reverse an unfulfilled order, or report suspected unlawful activity. We consider context, severity, recurrence, safety and legal obligations. We may not be able to explain an action in detail where doing so would harm safety, privacy, an investigation or legal compliance.
If you believe an action was wrong, submit a Content Safety Report and include the report reference or order reference. A reviewer who was not responsible for the initial automated block or decision will consider the appeal where practical.
8. Updates
We may update this AUP when the Service, law or supplier requirements change. Material updates are identified by a new version and published on this page. This policy does not remove any mandatory legal rights.
